Koen Heesbeen

Koen Heesbeen is a seasoned professional in the trading sector with extensive experience in biofuels and renewable energy. Currently serving as Managing Partner and MD, Global Head of Biofuels Trading at STX Group since February 2023, Koen previously held multiple roles at VARO Energy from July 2012 to February 2023, including VP Renewables Trading and Book Lead Biofuels. Prior positions include Light Ends Trader roles at Mabanaft and HETCO and trading experience at Borealis and BP. Koen began the career as a Business Analyst at Total. Koen holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Imperial College Business School and a Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry from Leiden University.
