Basem Tarek

Basem Tarek has been working in the finance and accounting industry since 2012. Basem began their career as a Field Coordinator at Yapd, where they managed and prepared tasks for volunteers and distributed budgets to action projects in Beheira governorate. In 2014, they joined the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports as a Project Accountant, where they were responsible for the payroll system, recording finance transactions, and writing cheques and salary payments. Basem then moved to Save the Children UK in 2015 as a Field Officer, where they were responsible for activities budget and observing the work of volunteers. In 2017, Basem joined Rushbrush Inc. as a Senior Accountant, Acting as Chief Accountant. In this role, they mentored junior Accountants on a daily basis and was responsible for account receivables.

Basem Tarek obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from Tanta University between 2009 and 2012. Basem has also obtained three additional certifications: International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS Preparation) from EAAC Group for Training& Consultancy in 2022, Financial Accounting (QAD) from Guide Training Consultancy in 2019, and Accounting Applications with Excel from EAAC Group for Training& Consultancy in 2018.
