Lauren Chiu

Lauren Chiu has extensive work experience in the field of color and material trends. Lauren started their career at Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London, where they worked as a Weave Technician from September 2010 to December 2010. In September 2010, they also worked as a Trends Analyst (Freelance) at Fashion Snoops.

Lauren then joined Stylus in July 2011 as a Researcher in Fashion & Beauty, and later transitioned into the role of Researcher in Color & Materials in June 2012. Lauren worked in this role until March 2014 and then moved up to become an Assistant Editor in Color & Materials from April 2014 to April 2016. Lauren was subsequently promoted to the position of Editor in Color & Materials, which they held from May 2016 to February 2018.

Lauren'snext role at Stylus was Senior Editor in Color & Materials, which they held from February 2018 to July 2022. Most recently, they were promoted to the position of Head of Color & Material Trends at Stylus in July 2022, where they currently work.

Lauren Chiu started their education at Watford Grammar School For Girls, where they attended from 2000 to 2006. After completing their secondary education, they went on to pursue further studies at the University of the Arts London. From 2006 to 2007, they completed a Foundation Studies in Art and Design program at Central Saint Martins. Following that, they studied Textile Design and graduated with a BA (Hons) degree from Central Saint Martins at the University of the Arts London from 2007 to 2010.
