Sabela Cebro Barreiro

Sabela Cebro Barreiro is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in translation and quality control. Sabela currently serves as a Compound & Quality Controller, Quality Surveyor, and a member of the Shipping Operations Team at Suardiaz Group since May 2017. Prior to this role, Sabela worked as a freelance translator from June 2006 to October 2017, specializing in translating and proofreading texts across multiple languages. Sabela has also held academic positions at the University of Vigo as a part-time lecturer and guest professor, focusing on translation subjects between 2007 and 2015. Earlier experience includes serving as an in-house translator at NOVA GALICIA EDICIONS SL, with a focus on art and architecture texts. Sabela holds a degree in Translating and Interpreting from Universidade de Vigo and a Master’s in Medical and Health Translation from Universitat Jaume I, along with additional qualifications in English Philology and Advanced English Studies from Universidade de Vigo.
