Bernard mc Donald

Bernard McDonald has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Bernard has served as a Contract QP and Quality Consultant for BMD Pharma, where they have successfully managed various projects related to QP release, manufacture/testing, regulatory inspection preparation, process development/design, and auditing. In 2021, they established BMD Pharma to offer contract quality consultant and QP services. Prior to this, Bernard worked at Sublimity Therapeutics as the Director of Quality & CMC, overseeing the Quality Department and regulatory CMC activities. Bernard has also held positions at Sigmoid Pharma as the Head of Formulation/Production and Senior Formulation Scientist, and at Trinity College Dublin as a Formulation Research Scientist. Additionally, Bernard worked at BioUetikon Limited as a Protein Purification Scientist and at Lonza as a Process Technician during their industrial placement.

Bernard McDonald began their education in 1998 at Dublin City University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology. Bernard completed this program in 2002. Following this, in 2003, they enrolled at Trinity College Dublin to pursue a Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Technology, which they completed in 2005. In 2008, Bernard attended Trinity College Dublin again, this time for a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology, which they completed in 2009. Finally, from 2009 to 2015, Bernard pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Drug Delivery - Colorectal Cancer at Dublin City University.
