Alexandru Vlad

Alexandru Vlad is an experienced offshore engineering professional with a strong background in asset integrity, regulatory compliance, and vessel operations. Currently serving as Deputy Vessel Superintendent at Subsea 7 since July 2021, Alexandru plays a key role in maintaining safe and efficient operations for pipelay vessels while managing operational budgets. Prior to this role, Alexandru worked as a Regulatory Compliance Engineer at Bluewater Energy Services, supporting compliance activities and overseeing major upgrade projects for FPSO vessels in Dubai and Rotterdam. Alexandru's career also includes significant contributions as an Asset Integrity Engineer at Prosafe, where cost-effective maintenance strategies and safety management processes were developed, as well as engineering design roles at Apollo Offshore Engineering. Alexandru holds a Master of Science in Offshore Engineering from Newcastle University and a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University Dunarea de Jos, Galati.
