Chief Engineer On PLSV Seven SEAS at Subsea 7

Dobromir Zlatev has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Dobromir began their career in 1998 as a Third Engineer/QMED for American Oilfield Divers/ CEANIC/ STOLT COMEX SEAWAY, where they worked on various dive support and SAT diving vessels. Dobromir then worked as a Second Engineer for STOLT OFFSHORE from 2000 to 2005. After that, they joined Acergy in 2005, starting as a First Engineer and eventually becoming a Chief Engineer from 2010 to 2012. Currently, they are employed by Subsea7, where they have served as Chief Engineer on the PLSV SEVEN SEAS since December 2021.

Dobromir Zlatev obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Naval Academy "N.Y. Vaptzarov" in Varna, Bulgaria, from 1989 to 1994. Dobromir then pursued further professional development by completing a Professional Development Course in Ship Superintendency at North Kent College and Lloyd's Maritime Academy from 2017 to 2018.

Before attending the Naval Academy, Dobromir Zlatev attended the Technical School of Shipbuilding "K.Halatchev" in Varna, Bulgaria, from 1984 to 1988. There, they obtained a certification as a Ship Welder with a focus on ship architecture and shipbuilding.

It is worth mentioning that Dobromir Zlatev's education history also includes a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, although the start and end years for this degree are not provided.
