Martin Smart

Martin Smart is an experienced professional in the HSSEQ domain, currently serving as the GPC East HSSEQ Director at Subsea7 since April 2021, where responsibilities include leading a team across EPCI projects in the GPC East region. Martin holds significant experience within Subsea7, having previously held various HSEQ director roles focusing on the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions from 2007 to 2020. Prior experience includes positions as HSE Manager at Acergy and Project HSE Manager at Clough, along with a foundational role as Life Support Supervisor at Subsea7 Ltd from 1989 to 2006. Martin holds a Master's degree from Edith Cowan University and has a diverse background supporting multinational health, safety, environment, and quality initiatives.
