Philip Lorimer

Philip Lorimer is a Robotics and Computer Vision Engineer at SubSea Craft Limited and the Founder and Creative Technologist of Eight Sprouts, a creative technology studio focused on building intelligent systems for design, automation, and robotics. As a doctoral researcher at the University of Bath, Philip explores the application of machine learning to facilitate intelligent, cinematic behaviors in robotic systems, utilizing reinforcement, imitation, and representation learning to automate camera movement. Philip also has experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Bath School of Management and as a Research Engineer at Motion Impossible Ltd. Educationally, Philip holds a Doctor of Engineering in Computer Science and multiple Master's degrees in related fields from the University of Bath, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Kent.
