Ugurcan Aktepe

Ugurcan Aktepe has a diverse work experience in various roles within the software engineering field. Ugurcan is currently working as a Software Engineer at Subskribe since March 2022. Previously, they served as a Principal Software Engineer at Array from August 2021 to March 2022.

Prior to that, Aktepe worked at Okta, Inc. from 2016 to 2021. Ugurcan held multiple positions there, including Principal Software Engineer, Staff Software Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer. In these roles, they contributed to significant projects such as breaking up a large monolithic java codebase into smaller components, designing and building the conductor workflow engine, and developing internal testing software for large-scale codebases.

Before joining Okta, Inc., Aktepe worked briefly as a Senior Software Engineer at Capital One in 2016.

Earlier in their career, Aktepe held the position of Customer Service Platform Team Lead at Ingram Micro Cloud from 2014 to 2016. Ugurcan led a team of software developers and implemented real-time integrations between business management systems, help desk systems, and data warehouses. Ugurcan also managed technical operations for the call center and handled vendor management.

Aktepe started their career as a Software Developer and Customer Support Team Leader at Softcom Inc. from 2010 to 2014. Ugurcan'sresponsibilities included developing tools for customer support, QA automation, and dealing with escalated customer issues. Ugurcan also contributed to documentation efforts.

Prior to their software engineering roles, Aktepe worked in the media industry as a Producer at Ntvspor from 2007 to 2009 and as a News Producer at NTV from 2006 to 2007.

Ugurcan Aktepe completed their secondary education at Usküdar Anadolu Lisesi from 1993 to 2000. Ugurcan then enrolled at Istanbul Bilgi University from 2001 to 2008, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media & Communication Systems.
