Hamish Risk has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Hamish began their career in 1989 at the National Bank of New Zealand, where they worked in FX and money market sales for four years. Hamish then moved to Citibank in 1996, where they served as an FX salesperson and options structurer until 1998. Hamish then joined Bankers Trust as an FX option salesperson for one year before working as a derivatives markets reporter at Bloomberg News from 2000 to 2009. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as an editor for EuromoneyFXNews.com. In 2013, Hamish joined Deutsche Bank as the head of content management for their institutional client group, where they curated and blended macro research and sales and trading commentary into concise summaries. In 2015, they became the head of research discovery at Substantive Research Ltd, where they edited and delivered high-quality macroeconomic, allocation, and strategy research briefings. Hamish also co-founded Bellevue Estates in 2013.
Hamish Risk began their education journey in 1986 and completed it in 1988 at the University of Otago. Hamish pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a specialization in Economics.
