Lalit Ghatpande

Lalit Ghatpande, P.E., currently serves as the Lead Protection and Control Engineer at Substation Engineering Company since April 2025. Prior to this role, Lalit held multiple positions at SynchroGrid from August 2017 to April 2025, including Lead Engineer, Senior Protection Engineer, and Relay Settings Engineer, focusing on relay settings calculations, power system studies, and development of relay schematics. Lalit contributed to protective relaying schemes while working at Michigan Technological University in early 2017 and gained foundational engineering experience as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at KEC International Ltd., designing power cables. Lalit holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) from Michigan Technological University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical from AISSMS IOIT, University of Pune.
