Matthew Tokarik is a seasoned professional in the field of building science and energy efficiency, currently serving as President and Vice President at Subterra Renewables, where responsibilities encompass deploying geothermal heat pump and renewable energy systems across North America. With a solid academic foundation that includes a Master of Applied Science in Building Science from Ryerson University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta, Matthew has also held instructional positions at various institutions, including Ryerson University and McMaster University, where courses centered on building physics and energy modeling were taught. Previous experience as a Building Energy Consultant at Morrison Hershfield involved energy modeling and GHG reduction planning, while contributions as a founding partner at 2ND LOT Building Performance Simulation & Consulting Inc. focused on high-performance building design. Additionally, roles in ReNü Building Science Inc. and George Brown College further established expertise in mechanical system design and building energy modeling.
