Beth Gibbons has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Beth began their career in 1987 as an Account Executive at Ross Roy Advertising. Beth then joined Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART) in 1993 as the Manager of Marketing. At SMART, they served as the Public Relations Manager from 1998 to 2007 and later became the Marketing Program Manager from 2007 to 2010. In 2010, they moved to the role of Manager of Marketing & Communications, where they planned, developed, and implemented marketing and communication strategies to educate and increase ridership. Most recently, they have been the Chief of Staff since July 2022. Throughout their career, Beth has worked closely with management and reported directly to the General Manager to create effective communication and marketing strategies.

Beth Gibbons attended Northwood University from 1981 to 1983, where they earned an associate degree in Business with a focus on Advertising. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing and Finance at the University of Michigan-Dearborn from 1984 to 1987.
