Duane Simpson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Duane is currently the Director of Operations at Subzero Engineering, a role they started in October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Danone from 2019 to 2022, where they served as both the Plant Director and Operations Manager. At Danone, Duane was responsible for improving quality, throughput, and customer experience at a manufacturing plant. Duane also focused on increasing employee engagement for their team of managers and operators. Before joining Danone, Duane worked at NCI Building Systems, Inc. as a Plant Manager from 2016 to 2019. Duane began their career at Wheeler Machinery in 1995, where they served as a CMC Failure Analyst and Assistant Warehouse/Exchange Manager. In these roles, they pioneered the failure analyst role, reduced warranty costs, and contributed to continuous improvement projects.
Duane Simpson earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Western Governors University. Duane attended the university from 2014 to 2016. In addition to their degree, Duane has obtained several certifications including a Six Sigma Green Belt from Bridgestone Americas IQS in October 2015, a Project+Certified from CompTIA in August 2013, and an Internal Auditor certification in ISO 9001QMS and 14001EMS from Firestone Building Products.
