Jason Connell

Jason Connell has a diverse background in the gaming industry, with roles at various companies. Jason began their career at Signature Research, where they served as a 3D Artist and Jr. Engineer, responsible for modeling and texturing vehicles for software and simulations. Jason also solved technical issues and automated texturing processes.

In 2006, Connell joined Americas Army as an Art Lead and Environment Artist, contributing to the development of the Americas Army 3.0 PC game. Jason worked on the Unreal 3 engine and led the art team.

Connell then joined Ubisoft Red Storm in 2008 as a Technical Artist and Lighting Artist. Jason utilized their skills in lighting and rendering, contributing to the visual aspects of game development.

In 2010, Connell joined Sucker Punch Productions and took on multiple roles within the company. Jason started as a Lighting Artist, focusing on rendering, physical-based lighting/shading, and sky/haze/fog effects. Jason lit environments in games like inFAMOUS 2 and inFAMOUS DLC Festival of Blood.

Connell later became the Lighting Director at Sucker Punch Productions, followed by their current role as the Creative Director and Art Director since January 2016.

Additionally, Connell served as an Instructor for Sky Texturing and Painting at FuturePoly in 2012.
