Azin Shahidi

Azin Shahidi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Azin is currently working at Vanguard as the Head of Common Services Strategy & Governance, a position they assumed in September 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Technical Product Manager at Vanguard from April 2022 to September 2022.

Before joining Vanguard, Azin was a Co-Founder at Sudor, a position they held from May 2019 till present. From October 2018 to October 2020, they worked at Zalando SE as the Technical Program Management Team Lead.

Azin also has experience at companies such as OpenTable, where they served as the Delivery Manager from July 2017 to October 2018. Azin was responsible for supporting engineering teams and improving engineering processes.

Furthermore, they worked as a Sr. Software Project Manager at Badger Meter from January 2015 to March 2017. Their role involved driving interoperability among utility platforms and managing the product development process.

Prior to that, Azin held the position of Senior PMO Technical Program Manager at Groupon from May 2013 to November 2014. Azin played a key role in integrating new warehouses and migrating HTTP to HTTPS for the company's website.

Additionally, Azin worked at Allstate as a Quality Enablement Consultant from November 2012 to March 2013 and at Caterpillar Inc. (via CGN Global) as a Portfolio Management Consultant from January 2012 to October 2012. Azin has also worked as a Risk Management Consultant/Instructor at PMGS from June 2010 to December 2011.

Azin's early career includes a role as Sr. Project Manager at Aviva plc, where they implemented enterprise risk management and created a sharepoint portal for communication and collaboration across multiple European countries. Overall, Azin Shahidi possesses a wealth of experience in program management, product development, and project management across multiple industries.

Azin Shahidi has a strong education background in project and program management and business development. In 1998, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Industrial Engineering from the Iran University of Science and Technology. Azin furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Project & Program Management and Business Development from the SKEMA Business School, which they completed between 2009 and 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Azin Shahidi has also obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Azin completed the PMP certification (Project Management Professional) from the Project Management Institute in February 2006. Furthermore, they achieved the Scrum Fundamentals Certified and Scrum Product Owner Certified credentials from VMEdu Inc. in September 2016 and April 2017, respectively. Azin also holds the Prince 2 - Registered Practitioner certification from APMG International, completed in June 2009. In terms of quality management, they earned the Six Sigma - Green Belt certification from ASQ - World Headquarters in October 2010 and the PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in February 2008. Finally, they gained additional expertise in software processes and agile practices by completing certifications in Software Processes and Agile Practices and Introduction to Software Product Management from Coursera in June 2017 and April 2017, respectively.
