Sophie Tester-Lowden

Sophie Tester-Lowden has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare field. Sophie has worked as the Head of Nursing & AHP's; Quality and Governance at Sue Ryder, where they focused on ensuring robust clinical governance processes and procedures, meeting quality and safety standards, and continuously improving the quality of care. Prior to that, Sophie worked as a Clinical Specialist Lead at NHS Supply Chain, managing the development of clinical specifications and delivering high-quality products to the NHS. Sophie also worked as a Registration Specialist at the Care Quality Commission, assessing healthcare providers for compliance and providing regulatory advice. Sophie has experience in managing teams as a Matron at Hinchingbrooke Health Care NHS Trust and as an Acting Theatre Manager at Ramsay Health Care. Sophie has also served as a scrub nurse at various hospitals, including Bedford Hospital NHS Trust, Golden Jubilee National Hospital, Lancashire Cardiac Centre, and Bedford Hospital NHS Trust again.

Sophie Tester-Lowden's education history is as follows:

Sophie obtained a Bachelor's degree in Adult nursing from the University of Bedfordshire from 2003 to 2006. Sophie further pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Adult Health Nurse/Nursing from Edinburgh Napier University, which they completed between 2008 and 2009. In 2013 and 2014, Sophie studied Anaesthetic Care in Clinical Practice at the University of Plymouth, earning a BSc degree.

In 2015, Sophie attended the NHS Leadership Academy, where they earned an Associate's degree in Leadership Foundations. Sophie then attended Pearson College London in 2021, focusing on Regulatory Skills in the Health and Social Care Sector and acquiring a Bachelor's degree.

Currently, Sophie is pursuing an MSc degree in Strategic management at CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing, starting in 2022 and scheduled to conclude in 2024.

Additionally, Sophie holds a certification in CMI Level 7 Strategic Decision Making for Leaders, obtained in October 2022 from the institution In Professional Development (InPD).
