Randy Smith

Randy Smith, CHST, is an experienced safety professional with over 20 years in the construction and manufacturing industries. Currently serving as Project Safety Manager at Suffolk Construction since November 2021, Randy has previously held significant roles including Environment, Health and Safety Manager at Katerra Construction Idaho and Safety Manager at Layton Construction, overseeing safety on multiple high-profile projects across several states. Prior experience includes serving as Safety Director for Aubrey Silvey Enterprises Wind Division, achieving zero work-related injuries on major wind projects, and various safety management and consultant roles, where Randy successfully developed and implemented safety programs, conducted audits, and trained workforce personnel. Educational credentials include a BA in Professional Photography and Cinematography from Brooks Institute and OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer certifications from the University of Washington.
