Carol Hernandez

Carol Hernandez, EdD, serves as the Assistant Dean of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Suffolk County Community College since August 2023 and is actively involved with the POD Network in Higher Education as the Conference Program Co-Chair and a mentor for the 2023 Donald H. Wulff Diversity Fellowship. With experience in faculty development and instructional design spanning over a decade, including roles at Stony Brook University and Long Island University, Carol is dedicated to enhancing teaching practices through multimedia and technology integration. Carol's earlier career includes positions as an assistant editor at Newsday and as a staff writer at Dayton Daily News, bolstered by a strong academic background with a Doctorate in Education from Northeastern University and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Stony Brook University.
