Maria Romero

Maria Romero has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Maria started their career as an Assistant District Attorney at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office in Massachusetts in 1992. After serving in that role for nine years, they transitioned to the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department in 2001, where they worked as an Assistant General Counsel until March 2023. Following their tenure with the Sheriff's Department, Maria took on the role of Chief Legal Counsel at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office in March 2023.

Maria Romero holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Boston College Law School, which they obtained in 1992. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree at Tufts University.
