Stephen Kiely is a Sr. Deputy County Clerk at the Suffolk County Clerk's office since November 2010. Prior to that, Stephen served as an Associate at Edward Burke Jr. & Assoc. LLC, handling tasks such as applying for municipal zoning variances and defending civil actions. With a background in law from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and a degree in Justice and Policy Studies from Guilford College, Stephen has experience in various legal roles including Assistant District Attorney and Assistant Town Attorney, where Stephen prosecuted violations and advised on legal matters related to town codes and zoning.

Suffolk County was created one of the original counties in the colony of New York in 1683. The first county Clerk, Ezra L'Hommedieu was also a member of congress. Our current County Clerk, Judith A. Pascale is the second women to hold the office.
