Dominic Marino, DVM, DACVS, DACCT, CCRP, EMT, is a seasoned veterinary professional with extensive experience in small animal surgery and emergency medical services. Currently serving as Chief of Staff at Long Island Veterinary Specialists since June 1998 and as an Emergency Medical Technician with New York State since June 2022, Dominic also holds the rank of Major in the United States Army Reserves and serves as President of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Foundation. Additional roles include Special Deputy Sheriff at Suffolk County Sheriff's Office and Assistant Professor of Small Animal Surgery at Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dominic has been a member of the Board of Trustees for the Bobby Jones Chiari & Syringomyelia Foundation since June 2002 and President of the One Medicine Foundation since July 2000. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University, a rotating internship at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, and a small animal surgery residency from The Animal Medical Center.
