Pete Schembri, PE CCM has a diverse work experience in civil engineering and surveying. Pete started their career at Nathan Taft Corwin III, Professional Land Surveyor as a Field Crew Chief from June 2008 to August 2010. Then, they joined L.K. McLean Associates, P.C. as a Civil Engineer from June 2011 to February 2014. Currently, they are working at Suffolk County Water Authority, where they have held various roles, including Associate Civil Engineer from February 2014 to March 2021, Deputy Lead Civil Engineer from March 2021 to October 2022, and currently as the Lead Site Civil Engineer, starting from September 2022.
Pete Schembri, PE CCM graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Civil Engineering. Pete obtained the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from NCEES in 2020 and the Certified Construction Manager certification from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) in 2019. Pete also holds additional certifications in Code Enforcement Officer, Competent Tower Climber, Confined Space Entry, HAZWOPER 8 hr., Asbestos Inspector, and Asbestos Project Monitor. Pete is currently a Civil Engineer in Training.

Suffolk County Water Authority is one of the largest suppliers of groundwater in the United States. Founded in 1951, the Suffolk County Water Authority is an independent public-benefit corporation operating under the authority of the Public Authorities Law of the State of New York. Serving approximately 1.2 million Suffolk County residents, the Authority operates without taxing power on a not-for-profit basis.
