Dr. Jessica Gillooly is an accomplished academic and professional in the fields of sociology and criminal justice, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Suffolk University since July 2021. In addition to academic responsibilities, Dr. Gillooly holds positions as a 911 Subject Matter Expert for both the ACLU and the U.S. Department of Justice, alongside serving as a Senior Policing Fellow and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Policing Project at NYU Law. Previous consulting experience includes advising on emergency call-taking and dispatch procedures at Harvard University. Dr. Gillooly earned a PhD in Public Policy and Sociology from the University of Michigan, following a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Analysis from Brown University, along with a study abroad program at the University of Bologna.
