Alex Downing

Alex Downing is a seasoned professional in philanthropy and fundraising with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector. Currently serving as Philanthropy Manager for Suffolk Wildlife Trust, previous roles include Individual Giving & Major Gifts Manager and Fundraising & Partnerships Manager at Suffolk Libraries, where efforts focused on promoting the library's charitable initiatives. As Volunteer Services Campaigns and Marketing Officer at Community Action Suffolk, Alex supported the volunteering sector and managed communications for the Volunteer Services team. Additionally, Alex held the position of Marketing Director for both Imaginative Traveller and Dragoman, as well as Marketing & Development Director at Colchester Zoo, where a long tenure included strategic marketing and development contributions.
