Aliyah Marandiz has a diverse work experience. Aliyah began their career in 2013 as a Program Coordinator for the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program, where they initiated community outreach to launch educational programs, monitored and evaluated programs, and documented conversations with over 700 community members. In 2015, Marandiz worked as a Research Development Assistant for Omidyar Network, and as an Events Manager for Santa Clara University Programming Board. Aliyah then worked as a Marketing/Digital Media Contractor for Kurbo Health in 2017, and as a Marketing and Communications Intern for IT'S TIME TEXAS. In 2018, Marandiz worked as an Associate for Design and Marketing for Jones-Dilworth, Inc. (JDI). Since 2019, Marandiz has been working as a Freelance Designer and Marketer for Marandiz & Co. In 2020, they founded and became the CEO of Sugardoh, a plant-based grooming company with the aim of taking over the body-hair waxing world and replacing it with its superior cousin: sugaring. In 2022, Marandiz was selected as a Target Takeoff Beauty Accelerator 2022 Cohort, a product-focused accelerator program designed to help emerging brands deepen their retail knowledge.
Aliyah Marandiz attended Santa Clara University from 2014 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Studio Art&Design. Aliyah then attended Parsons School of Design - The New School from 2019 to 2020, where they obtained a degree in Healthier Materials and Sustainable Building.
