Henry R. Heyburn Jr.

Henry R. Heyburn Jr. possesses a diverse professional background with significant experience in education, outdoor recreation, and nonprofit leadership. Currently serving as a Ski Patroller at Sugarloaf since November 2021 and a Board Member for the Bicycle Coalition of Maine since May 2019, Henry has also worked as a Retail Sales Specialist at Patagonia and held the position of Assistant Director at the Chewonki Foundation for nearly a decade. Henry's governance experience includes serving on the board of the Natural Resources Council of Maine. Previously, Henry was involved in education as a faculty member and counselor at Hyde School and as Head Coach for Nordic skiing at Bowdoin College. Henry's academic qualifications include a BA in History and American Literature from Middlebury College and a certificate in Community Planning and Development with a focus on Environmental Policy from the Muskie School & Cutler Institute at the University of Southern Maine.
