Malina Brown

Malina Brown serves as the Managing Director of Sugerman Communications Group, Inc. since May 2016, overseeing communications strategy and public affairs campaigns for prominent institutions such as La Brea Tar Pits and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Prior experience includes roles as Managing Director of Communications at City Year Los Angeles, where marketing and communications efforts were led for a nonprofit organization, and as Vice President of Public Relations and Social Media at Fraser Communications, where a significant integrated marketing campaign for First 5 California was managed. Additional experience encompasses positions at The Rogers Group, North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, and a journalism fellowship with Senator Carl Levin. Early career highlights include an associate editor role at Inside Washington Publishers and training as a desk assistant for The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. Malina Brown holds a BA in Comparative Literature from Brown University.
