Dermot Gildea is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in managing advanced technology projects and operations in the engineering sector. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering & Offsite Manufacturing at Suir Engineering since August 2025, Dermot previously held significant leadership positions at Mercury Engineering, including Managing Director - Advanced Technology Trade Partner and Director of Life Science & Advanced Technology. With a background as Operations Manager for the Irish Business Unit, Dermot ensured project delivery met safety, budget, and quality standards. Early in career highlights include Project Manager roles at Woodside Energy and Mercury Engineering, contributing to key projects such as the LNG1 EC Refurbishment Program and the Indaver Ireland Incinerator Project. Dermot holds a Master's in Business Management from Maynooth University and a B.Eng (Hons) from Ulster University.
