Kara Burns

Kara Burns has a diverse work experience spanning from 2005 to the present. Kara is currently working as the Director of Affiliate Marketing at Suited Connector since January 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Associate Director of Affiliate Marketing at the same company starting in July 2022. Kara also held the title of Senior Affiliate Manager at Suited Connector from December 2021 to July 2022, where they successfully generated and managed over $25 million in revenue in 2021 and secured $4 million in new business in Q3-Q4. Before joining Suited Connector, they worked as an Affiliate Manager at the company from December 2020 to December 2021.

In 2022, Kara also became a founding member of LinkUnite, a movement aimed at uniting communities and professionals in marketing and other industries. Kara joined in December 2022 and their involvement is ongoing.

Prior to their roles at Suited Connector and LinkUnite, Kara was the Business Owner of Kara Burns Unlimited, starting in June 2020. In this role, they provided neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) certified coaching and developed career readiness/self-image curriculum. Kara aimed to help individuals overcome barriers to success and shape their trajectory.

Before that, Kara worked as the Recruiting Partnerships Manager at Equinox from October 2018 to December 2019, where they managed the Talent Success Program and community events in multiple cities. Kara also created and marketed recruiting events.

From January 2015 to October 2018, Kara held several roles at Work Options for Women, including Sales, Event Coordination, and Instructor. In this position, they managed operations and executed corporate and community events to drive business growth. Kara also advanced the WOW Catering brand and managed training programs.

Kara's work experience also includes a role at TPM Staffing Services as a Recruiting/Sales professional from October 2013 to January 2015. In this position, they developed effective recruiting strategies, solicited and matched job seekers with employers, and handled on-boarding paperwork.

Earlier in their career, Kara worked as an Event Designer at Lifestyles Catering from May 2008 to October 2009. Kara planned and managed events, grew the client base, and provided outstanding customer service.

Lastly, Kara served as the Director of Sales at Carte d'Or Catering and Events from an unspecified start date to 2008. In this role, they managed all stages of events, trained employees, and increased catering sales significantly.
