Magdy Abadir has a long and varied work experience. Magdy is currently serving as the CEO and Founder of both Suitera LLC and Caspia Technologies, a position they have held since 2020. Prior to this, they were the Owner and President of Abadir and Associates from 2019. From 2019 to 2020, they were the Senior Director, Global Sales & Marketing Strategy at ANSYS, Inc. From 2014 to 2019, they were the VP Corporate Marketing and Member of the board of Directors at Helic Inc. From 2004 to 2014, they were the Director, Design Automation and Vendor Relations at NXP acquires Freescale Semiconductor, where they were responsible for driving the EDA and design automation strategy for Freescale, as well as managing the relationships with EDA and IP vendors. Magdy also held the role of Manager, EDA Strategy, vendor Relations, and Customer Collaborations from 1995 to 2004. Prior to this, they were an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas at Austin from 1995 to 2004, and Manager, EDA Tools and Methodology at Motorola Semiconductor from 1995 to 2004.

Magdy Abadir obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Automatic Control from the University of Alexandria in 1978. Magdy then received their Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan in 1981. Subsequently, they earned their PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1986. Magdy also attended the University of Texas at Austin, but did not receive any degree.
