Matti Sillanpää

Matti Sillanpää is a seasoned software engineer and technical lead with over 20 years of experience in backend and web development. Currently, Matti serves as Technical Lead at Sulake, focusing on Habbo and Hotel Hideaway projects with expertise in technologies including Java, Spring, Hibernate, Node, Mongo, AngularJS, and AWS. Previous roles include Senior Engineer positions at SEVEN Networks and Nokia, where Matti contributed to server-side implementations and research-based projects using Java, Scala, and C++. Matti's early career involved research training and software engineering roles at VTT, Tecnomen, and Stonesoft, as well as course assistance at Helsinki University of Technology. Matti holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
