Erik Temmel is an accomplished professional in the field of process engineering, currently serving as the Global Head of Sustainable Products and Technologies at Sulzer since October 2019. Additionally, Erik holds the position of Head R&D Crystallization and previously worked as R&D Manager in the same area. Since January 2021, Erik has been a lecturer at Technische Universität Dortmund and has contributed as a guest scientist and principal scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems since July 2010, following a progression from postdoctoral research assistant to PhD student, focusing on the dissertation "Design of continuous crystallization processes." Erik's earlier experience includes a role as a postdoctoral researcher at DSM from September 2018 to March 2019. Erik earned a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Process Engineering from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg between 2004 and 2010.
