Michael J Tobin

Michael J Tobin serves as President and General Manager at Oerlikon Metco and Oerlikon Additive Manufacturers since June 2014, and also holds multiple presidential roles within Oerlikon US Holdings Inc. and Oerlikon Metco US Inc. With extensive experience in manufacturing operations, Tobin has been responsible for overseeing operations, product line management, and engineering functions. Prior to this, Tobin was Vice President of Equipment Manufacturing at Sulzer Metco, where operations in the USA and Switzerland were managed. A former Director of Business Operations at Sulzer Metco, Tobin handled pricing management and sales for a significant thermal spray powder business. Additional roles include General Manager at Crossroads Tubular Manufacturing and various managerial positions at Dayton Power and Light. Tobin’s career began as a Global Custody Analyst at Morgan Stanley and included service as a Captain in the US Army, earning a Bronze Star as a Gulf War Veteran. Educational background includes a BS in Business and Finance from Mount St. Mary's University.
