Simonetta Rima serves as the Global Head of Polymer Application and Recycling and the Global Head of Bio-based Solutions at Sulzer since February 2021, overseeing business development in the bio-polymers and recycling sector, fostering partnerships, and driving strategic marketing. Prior to this, Simonetta worked as a Chemical and Materials Industry Consultant at the World Economic Forum, managing projects and engaging with startups. Earlier experience includes serving as an R&D Global Project Manager at DuPont, where Simonetta developed new Zytel® products across various industries and led cross-functional teams. Academic qualifications include an MBA from the University of St.Gallen, a PhD in Nanocomposite Materials from Université de Fribourg, a Master's in Chemical and Bio-Engineering from ETH Zürich, and a BSc and MSc in Chemical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
