Gonzalo Lema

Gonzalo Lema is an experienced engineering manager currently at SUMAC since February 2021, specializing in project management and technical solutions across various sectors. Previous roles include business developer at ENGIE Chile, where Gonzalo led multidisciplinary teams to create cost-effective asset-based solutions and identified new energy opportunities. At Johnson Controls, Gonzalo worked as a system sales engineer focusing on building management systems, while also executing a personal project involving the design and installation of a solar photovoltaic system. Prior experience includes serving as a LEED project manager at SUMAC Inc., where Gonzalo facilitated LEED certification, and project manager roles at Dobarro & Pichel and Abengoa, managing HVAC systems and chlorination projects respectively. Gonzalo holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Universidad de la República.
