As a Board Member, Amie is responsible for executive mentorship, new business development, business strategy and executive recruitment. She is an expert in national security and has worked to enhance the defense of the country her entire career. Amie is the Founder and President of AMH Consulting, a woman-owned small business. For over twenty years, AMH Consulting has served both private industry and the Federal Government in consulting projects including technology, military threat analysis, homeland security and defense (including nuclear, chemical, biological and terrorism), weapons demilitarization and cleanup and numerous other projects. Prior to founding AMH Consulting, Amie was appointed by President Reagan to the Pentagon as Deputy under Secretary of the Army (Research, Development and Acquisition) and later Under Secretary of the Army, and she served during both of his terms. Her responsibilities included overseeing the Army R&D budgets and technical developments at over forty-one Army laboratories. In addition, she oversaw the Star Wars ballistic missile defense research program for the Army and was a primary Administration spokesperson for DoD policies and programs for the public, media and Congress. Amie’s prior business experience includes as the Director of Strategic Planning for TRW Inc. and as a leading national defense expert at System Planning Corporation, the Rand Corporation, Analytic Services, Inc. and the Strategic Studies Center of SRI International. Amie has also held over four board seats for both private and public companies during her career. Amie has an AB in Political Science from Stanford University and has undertaken graduate studies in Mathematics at Stanford, the University of California, Los Angeles, and American University, and has studied in the Advanced Leadership Initiative program at Harvard University.
