Vanessa Santos Magalhaes is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in various managerial roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as Senior Legal Manager for Latin America at Sumitomo Chemical Latin America since May 2023, Vanessa previously held senior legal positions at Albaugh Brasil from June 2018 to April 2023 and at adidas between August 2015 and May 2018. Vanessa’s background includes significant expertise in compliance, contract management, litigation, and internal investigations, alongside a strong emphasis on legal support for business operations. Additionally, Vanessa was the Legal Coordinator for Cheminova A/S, where responsibilities included startup of the legal department for Latin America and serving as a compliance officer. Vanessa’s career began at BASF S.A., where roles included In-house lawyer and Contract Analyst, focusing on legal structuring and optimization of legal processes. Vanessa holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Sao Bernardo do Campo Law School, a postgraduate degree in Corporate Law from FGV, and has completed master's credits in International Business Management from Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz.
