Martin Pointner

Martin Pointner has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Martin recently held the position of Head of Serial Business EMEIA at Sumitomo (SHI) Cyclo Drive Germany GmbH, starting in April 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director of SM-Cyclo Italy Srl and worked as a Senior Sales Manager and General Manager at the same company. Martin also held various positions at Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd., including Global Key Account Manager and Global Business Development Manager Robotics. Martin's experience also includes a role as a Product Manager at Nanotec Electronic GmbH & Co. KG and as a Design Engineer at BMW Group. Martin has also worked on projects related to electric motor development at both BMW Group and municHMotorsport e.V. Martin started their career as an Intern at MTU Maintenance, where they served as a Project leader for the CEO. Throughout their professional journey, Martin has gained expertise in various areas such as serial business, sales management, product management, and electric motor development.

Martin Pointner attended Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences from 2009 to 2014. Martin obtained a Diplom-Ingenieurin (Dipl.Ing. (FH)) degree in Maschinenbau.
