Lahiru Kulasekara

Lahiru Kulasekara is an experienced Engineer currently working at Sumitomo Mitsui Construction Co. Ltd since June 2023, previously serving as a Civil Engineer at Sanken Constructions (Pvt) Ltd from March 2021 to June 2023. Key responsibilities have included overseeing quality control and health and safety standards for construction teams, conducting material tests, performing on-site observations, and facilitating effective communication between contractors and suppliers. Earlier experience at the National Water Supply and Drainage Board involved conducting tests on materials and structures, while initial exposure to civil engineering included on-site inspections and reviewing contractor submittals. Lahiru holds a Bachelor of Science Engineering honors degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from South Eastern University of Sri Lanka, earned in January 2021.
