Christina Acompora

Resident Assistant at Summer Institute for the Gifted

Christina Acompora has extensive experience in educational and psychological support roles, currently serving as a School Psychology Intern at Shelton Public Schools since 2016. Concurrently, Christina has been involved with Totoket Valley Elementary School as a Family Resource Center (FRC) coordinator and has worked as a Resident Assistant at the Summer Institute for the Gifted since 2014. Christina's background includes planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programs at Child and Family, where responsibilities include overseeing children's activities and guiding Assistant Teachers. Prior experience includes providing administrative support as an Office Assistant at Roger Williams Office of Enrollment Management and serving as a Teacher Assistant/Counselor at the Summer Institute for the Gifted, where Christina managed a group of gifted students. Christina's internship with Big Brothers Big Sisters focused on fostering positive mentor relationships through careful assessment of children's needs. Christina holds a Master’s Degree in School Psychology from Fairfield University and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Roger Williams University.
