Product Lifecycle Management Specialist at Summersalt

Sam Davis has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Starting from 2008, they worked as a Sales Lead at DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse, focusing on customer service and retail management. From 2011 to 2012, Sam served as a Stylist at EXPRESS, assisting customers and ensuring proper garment placement on the sales floor.

In 2012, Sam joined Soft Surroundings as a Technical Design Clerical, providing aid to the technical design department by processing packages, measuring and filing samples, and assisting with marketing efforts. They then progressed to roles such as Assistant Product Developer, Associate Product Developer, and Product Developer - Apparel, managing new product prototype documentation, researching customer reviews, and coordinating cross-functional meetings.

Sam also taught Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for Fashion Merchandising as an Adjunct Lecturer at Fontbonne University since 2019, developing syllabi and imparting necessary skills to students.

In 2021, Sam established their own small business called Sam Davis Art and Design LLC, where they focus on selling original artworks and prints, primarily in watercolor.

Additionally, Sam worked as a Freelance Designer for a local apparel company, providing project-based freelance product development support and creating tech packs for new clients.

In their most recent role, Sam joined SUMMERSALT as a PLM Coordinator, responsible for product lifecycle management coordination. Later, they transitioned into the role of Product Lifecycle Management Specialist.

Sam Davis attended Columbia College Chicago from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fashion Design.
