Carrie Spangler is an experienced Educational Audiologist currently serving at EARS Consortium and Summit ESC since August 2024, and previously with the Summit Educational Service Center since July 2015, providing essential audiology services for students with hearing loss in the Summit and Medina county region. Spangler is also a Certified Professional Coach with empowEAR Audiology and Coaching, LLC since February 2024, and serves as a Brand Ambassador and podcast host for empowEAR Audiology. With a strong background in educational audiology, Spangler has developed programs such as "Hear and Learn" at The University of Akron, and has been actively involved in the Ohio Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology as a board member since December 2014. Spangler holds a Doctor of Audiology degree from Arizona School of Health Sciences and a Master of Arts in Audiology from The University of Akron, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Bowling Green State University.

Summit Educational Service Center
The Summit Educational Service Center is dedicated to providing administrative, curricular, instructional, instructional technology, pupil personnel, and professional development services to the schools both in and out of Summit County and assisting them in reaching their educational objectives. These services are primarily designed to assist boards of education, administrators, teachers, and other staff members so that they may provide engaging work to students and services that help students learn.
