Summit County Public Health
Tonia W. Burford has been working in the public health sector since 2002. Currently serving as the Environmental Health Director at Summit County Public Health, Tonia W. has held various roles including Sanitarian Supervisor at the Akron Health Department and Registered Sanitarian at the Franklin County Board of Health. Burford holds a Master's degree in Natural Resources and Soil Science from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Biology, Geology, and Sociology from the University of Mount Union.

Through its programs and activities, the Health District seeks to create a healthful environment and insure the accessibility of health services to all.
