Anne W. Darby, AICP, is a seasoned planning professional currently serving as the Planning Department Manager and Planner III at Summit Design and Engineering Services since October 2020. Previous experience includes roles as Planner III for the City of Richmond, Virginia, where responsibilities involved large-scale re-zonings and zoning ordinance changes. At Comcast, Anne worked as the Lead Broadband Analysis Coordinator, implementing a GIS-based program to identify and address broadband service gaps. A significant tenure at the Richmond Regional Planning District Commission included serving as Senior Planner, where projects encompassed land use, food policy, and regional initiatives, as well as engaging in community-focused efforts through Groundwork RVA. Anne's early career also included a position as Associate Transportation Planner and a fellowship focused on environmental issues. Educationally, Anne holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning with a concentration in Food Policy and Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University.
