Summit Education Trust is a Berkshire-based Multi-Academy Trust, formed by The Downs School, Compton CofE Primary School and Basildon CofE Primary School.

It has grown from a strong, established partnership between schools that have been working closely together for several years. Through shared leadership, collaboration and mutual support, this has already brought clear benefits for both staff and students.

Summit reflects what has been learned through that experience. It builds on a way of working that values professional trust, open collaboration and a shared commitment to doing the right thing for young people.

Each school remains firmly rooted in its own community, with its own identity and leadership. That individuality is recognised as an important part of what makes each school successful.

The trust focuses on the practical realities of running schools today, including staffing, workload, curriculum and long-term sustainability, with support shaped around what schools need.

There is a strong sense of optimism in how the trust has been formed, with a belief that schools working together in this way can create something stronger, more supportive and more sustainable for the future.
