John Howard

John Howard is the BASE Coordinator at SUMMIT INDEPENDENT LIVING CENTER. John has over 20 years of experience in sales, strategic development, and regional management.

Most recently, John served as the Vice President of Sales for the Central Region of Specialty Health Plans at Magellan Health. In this role, they were responsible for sales and growth in the behavioral health, advanced imaging, cardiac, musculoskeletal, physical medicine, and automated prior authorization areas.

Prior to Magellan Health, John was with Cerner Corporation for 8 years as a Senior Strategic Development Executive. In this role, they were responsible for sales of Cerner's Workforce Health Solutions to labor trade unions, self-insured employers, and employee benefit consultants.

Before Cerner Corporation, John spent 10 years with Concentra Medical Centers as a Regional Sales Manager and National Sales Executive.

John has a proven track record of success in sales and business development and is a strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute plans that drive results. John is a strong relationship builder with the ability to develop relationships at all levels within an organization.

John Howard has a Bachelor of Arts in Business-Communications from Rockhurst University and is certified as a Corporate Wellness Specialist from the Corporate Health & Wellness Association (CHWA).
