Becca Zak is an experienced Interpretive Naturalist at Summit Metro Parks, where responsibilities include acquiring and sharing knowledge about native flora and fauna, as well as local history. Previous roles include Farm Intern with Countryside, focusing on crop preservation and sustainable food practices, and Seasonal Naturalist with Cleveland Metroparks, promoting wellness through urban gardening and healthy cooking. Additional experience includes providing customer service at Kohl's Department Stores, supporting dietary needs at Jennings Center for Older Adults, and facilitating Outdoor Recreation programs. Becca Zak holds dual degrees from The Ohio State University: a Bachelor of Science in Environment and Natural Resources and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography.

Established in 1921, Summit Metro Parks celebrated its centennial anniversary in 2021. The park district manages more than 15,000 acres throughout 16 parks, three nature centers and over 150 miles of trails, including 22 miles of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
