Cristina da Silva currently serves as the Dean of Culture and Instruction at Summit Public Schools since November 2023. Prior to this role, Cristina was the Academic Coordinator at the College Internship Program from September 2017 to November 2023, recognized as Staff of the Year for the 2019-2020 academic year. With a strong background in teaching, Cristina held various positions including Biology and Physical Science educator at institutions such as Tilden Preparatory School, Mount Diablo High School, and Berkeley High School. Additionally, Cristina has experience in higher education as a professor of Pre-Med Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Cell Biology at St. James School of Medicine. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from UC San Diego and a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Biology from California State University - East Bay.
